Imlay Street

The renovation of this industrial loft in Red Hook transforms the space into a home while preserving its industrial history. Expansive views of New York Harbor and generous ceiling heights shape the design. Existing structure is left exposed and spaces remain open, while warm materials are introduced to soften the rawness of the original building.

New building systems—including concealed HVAC and sprinklers—are integrated with minimal visual impact. A new structural opening connects the loft to the bulkhead above and a 4,000-square-foot roof deck, extending the living space into the sky and toward the harbor.
